Artist's Description

Big Tub Lighthouse in Tobermory, Ontario was originally built in 1885, but was later replaced by the hexagonal, wooden lighthouse seen there today. It is still functioning with a red lamp that automatically comes on in the evening guiding boaters to the harbor from the waters of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. This image is a composite of the original plus added rain.

About Amanda Jones

Amanda Jones

Hello and thanks for stopping by! I have been utilizing cameras as a tool with which to capture the beauty of God's creation since the 1990's. My main goal as a photographer is to glorify my Savior by capturing and sharing His creativity in the natural world. Working with both film and digital, I utilize the best of both worlds, including the dynamic and unmatched colors available with some of my favorite films and the unlimited resources of digital. I strongly believe that photography isn't about cameras and equipment. It's a way of seeing the world, and it's always a matter of Light & Perspective! I hope you enjoy the pictures, and feel free to e-mail or message me with any questions! -Amanda
