Artist's Description
Who says landscape photographers should only shoot during the golden hours? Our midday climb up the trail on Whiteface mountain in the Adirondacks was absolutely spectacular. That morning had been overcast, but as the day wore on, the clouds began to break up into a high layer of broken clouds, through which the sun was streaming down onto the mountains, creating the dramatic areas of light and dark.

About Amanda Jones
Hello and thanks for stopping by! I have been utilizing cameras as a tool with which to capture the beauty of God's creation since the 1990's. My main goal as a photographer is to glorify my Savior by capturing and sharing His creativity in the natural world. Working with both film and digital, I utilize the best of both worlds, including the dynamic and unmatched colors available with some of my favorite films and the unlimited resources of digital. I strongly believe that photography isn't about cameras and equipment. It's a way of seeing the world, and it's always a matter of Light & Perspective! I hope you enjoy the pictures, and feel free to e-mail or message me with any questions! -Amanda
